My new business card! The before & after is the back of the card. I’ll laminate some to take to the gym. When a friend invited me to workout with him at the Y and hit the sauna and hot tub after I thought laminated business cards would be great to have. Well, we were talking Beachbody and supplements in the sauna and a high school kid asked me about it. If I had a laminated card then….

My P90 Beachbody® Transformation is “Complete”!

Day 90 of P90I finally “completed” my P90 body transformation journey. I put completed in parenthesis because one is never done if you’re serious about staying in shape and achieving optimum health. Until I begin P90X I will continue to work out with P90 and at the gym. It took me longer than 90 calendar days due to illness and injury, not from P90 but from slipping on the stairs. Also, there were some days where I mismanaged my time and didn’t work out. The latter is a lame excuse I will NEVER use again. Also I don’t plan on getting too sick to ever work out again.

I am proud of the transformation I’ve made not only of body but in mind. Since the 1980′s I’ve wanted to be in shape I would read Muscle and Fitness back then and see every Arnold movie he was in. However, although I had the desire and would body build sometimes I never had the drive. Now I do! Being a Beachbody® Independent Coach makes me obligated to be a walking billboard for my business. I have to be the change I want to help others achieve. That, plus the look on my wife’s face when she sees me shirtless is great motivation. Thanks for reading. Next up, P90X!

Day-70Day-70-flexing

It’s been awhile since I posted but I just let things get in the way. By now it has been a bit over 90 calendar days but as I stated in my last blog post I had some days where I didn’t or couldn’t workout. So, I’m making this a bit over 70 days. I’ve made excellent progress since day 30 as can be seen from the photos. I’m still taking the protein shake once a day and eating good. I injured my foot slipping down the stairs so I have not worked out the past 3 days (as of 3/3/09). I’ll go to the gym and find some alternative to my leg workouts and cardio.

My Day 30 Update

It’s been 30 days since I’ve begun my P90 journey. I’d like to say I did it “by the book” but there had been a few days here and there I had not worked out for one reason or another. No excuses, I’ve would’ve worked it in but didn’t and I’ve not been as strict as I should’ve been with my diet except that I would not go to bed for at least 3 hours after my last meal (that’s so your body will burn fat while you sleep) but I don’t pig out on high-fat foods. I’m a vegetarian except for seafood and the rare chicken I had enjoyed and I drink a protein powder drink twice a day 5-6 days a week. I mix the protein powder, about 27 grams per serving, with a teaspoon of peanut butter for flavor, soy milk and usually a banana. I will post a blog about the exercises I do along with a video clip so you can see a sample of what I do. Compare the Day 30 side view with Day 1! Be blessed and healthy my friends!

Here I am as I looked before I started Power 90. Now I’m at 3 weeks and I will post my 30 day picture next weekend so you can see what a diference 30 days of P90 work outs, 6 days a week looks like on me. Now to be honest I did miss a day here and there about 3 or 4 times but the thing is not to beat yourself up about it but to learn from it. I now know that some days I can’t wait too long in the evening to work out or I may get too tired but I also learned that I can make myself work out at 10 pm. After all, the workouts, both the cardio and the sculpting, are less than 30 minutes for the first phase of this 2 phase body bootcamp. Phase 2 brings it up a notch with increased time and intensity. In my next blog I will detail the workouts with descriptions of what I do and how I feel afterwards. By the way, you guys have got to see the numerous before and afters on BeachBody.com. If you look at the various workout DVDs they all have their own before and afters. Be blessed my friends!
